My 2 year old Olympus 400z can take over 200+ shots (most with flash) without a change of batteries. If I didn't want toys for the Z (hehe) I'd get a Nikon Coolpix 990 right now. The newer models of the 400z are within the 300-400 dollar range now. Using a SmartMedia reader that plugs into the USB port I can send an entire 32MB card to the computer in less than a minute. Thing is, I have yet to fill a 32MB card up.. thats like 400+ 640x480 shots or 130-something at 1280x1024. I got the 32MB card for about 50 bucks. Last I heard a high-density floppy can only hold 1.44 MB.. How many images can fit on that? Oh, and I haven't lost a card yet either. I'd rather keep a bunch of stamp sized memory cards with my little camera pouch instead a bunch of floppies. All's I can say is don't fall for that Mavica stuff. And that CD recording one is a joke. Friend of mine (who is VERY picky) bought a Mavica S70 and returned within a few days for a Coolpix 990. Said the S70 was SHITTY.
